Senior HVAC Service Technician (Commercial Focus)

Indianapolis

$35 – $50/hour + performance bonuses

About the Role

CH Mechanical is a growing commercial HVAC company focused on service, maintenance, and light project work.

We’re looking for a high-level service technician who can:

Diagnose problems quickly
Communicate clearly with customers
Take ownership of their work

This isn't a parts-changer role — we want someone who can think.

What You’ll Do

Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, splits, basic controls)
Perform preventative maintenance for key accounts (including Evergreen)
Identify and recommend repair and replacement opportunities
Complete clean, accurate service documentation
Work independently in the field (minimal hand-holding)

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of HVAC experience (service-focused, not just install)
Strong diagnostic ability (electrical + mechanical)
Experience with commercial equipment preferred
EPA Universal Certification
Valid driver’s license
Professional, reliable, and accountable

Compensation & Structure

$35 – $450/hour based on experience
Performance bonuses tied to:
Billable efficiency
Revenue generated
Low callback rate
Overtime available (but not required)

Are you comfortable working independently at commercial customer sites—including diagnosing equipment, communicating findings to the customer, documenting your work, and identifying legitimate repair or replacement opportunities?
